Engr. Dr. Ayo Adeyemo, MNSE.

Engr. Dr Ayodeji Temidayo Adeyemo is the current and tenth National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Metallurgical, Mining and Materials Engineers (A Division of Nigerian Society of Engineeers). He is in Strategic Business Development Department, Julius Berger Nig. Plc, Abuja, Nigeria. He was born in Iyin Ekiti, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area, Ekiti State. Dr. Adeyemo attended Alagbaka Primary School and Army Comprehensive Secondary School all in Akure from 1976 to 1987.
He attended The Federal University of Technology, Akure, where he graduated with B.Eng. (Mining, 1992) as the Best Student in the Department of Mining Engineering with Second Class (Upper Division) wining two Awards: i) The Departmental Prize for the Best Graduating Student with the highest CGPA, and ii) Alhaji Rilwanu Lukman Prize for being the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Mining Engineering. Had Certificate of Proficiency in Information Systems Management (Distinction, 2001) from APTECH C. He obtained his M.Eng. (Rock Mechanics) from Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2010.
Engr. Dr. Adeyemo was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D) in Mining Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Akure, in 2019 with emphases on “Rock Mechanics”.
The Award of The Shield of Professional Excellence (SPX) is a post fellowship award instituted in 2008 to be bestowed on nominated individuals with at least two supporters.

The Institute led by the National Chairman, Engr. Dr. F. I. Apeh, embarked on a courtesy visit to Midwal Engineering Services Ltd, Ikota, Lekki, Lagos.
Periodic workshops and seminars are carriedout in line with the division calendar. Members and students are required to register with appropriate fee or contact the Secratariat for guidance.
For students who want to know more about engineering and promoting it. A platform to meet others in your field, share ideas, access advice, network, and support one another.
During the period of the 2017 Annual National Conference and General Meeting at the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences (NIMG), Jos, Plateau State, the Institute arranged and undertook series of industrial visits to mining companies and those involve in beneficiating mineral ores especially lead ore among which were: 1). CA MENTA LIMITED. 2). AT MINING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CENTRE and 3). G. S. C. Co. Limited.
The Metallurgical, Mining and Materials Division organized the first edition of Students' Essay Competition on the Topic, "Improving Artisanal Mining and Mineral Processing through Appropriate Technology" sponsored by Midwal Engineering Services Ltd.
